Anyone at Amdocs could become an innovator


Innovation is happening all around us, yet we don't always recognize it. So how do we capitalize on this immense opportunity to discover new ideas, processes or products? Through the Innovative Ideas Site, with a little encouragement and empowerment, anyone here at Amdocs could become an innovator.

It's no secret that companies who don’t evolve through innovation are less resilient to changes in the industry. As leaders in our field, Amdocs has always been passionately devoted to driving innovation. Not only product innovation, but innovation of all kinds. And in a multi-talented, creative work environment such as ours, we know that great ideas can originate from any division, by anyone, at any time.

Since it's launch on September 2014, the Innovative Ideas Site encourages employees at all levels to contribute ideas, no matter how big or small, they believe will have an impact on benefiting the company's operations. In less than a year, the site has become a huge success, providing a simple and accessible way for Amdocs employees to get their ideas to paper, and from there in front of someone who can move them forward and perhaps bring them to market or apply them elsewhere.

"People always have ideas. They just don't always know what to do with them" says Avi Gefen Chief Scientist at Amdocs and the driving force behind Amdocs' Innovative Ideas Site. "We realized we had to provide an outlet for people to innovate while inspiring a change in their mind-set about the value of doing it. I truly believe we've overcome these obstacles and that the Innovative Ideas Site will enable anyone at Amdocs to become an innovator".

The concept behind the Innovative Ideas Site appreciates the fact that the best way to succeed is to leverage the 10,000 brains of our employees. It could be you, or it could be a colleague sitting right next to you who comes up with the next big idea. We encourage you to try, we encourage you to fail and then to try again. We'll look at the true potential of each and every idea.

Since it's launch on September 2014, the Innovative Ideas Site has invited staff members at all levels to contribute fresh ideas, no matter how big or small, they believe could better the company. I'm happy to inform you all that since then the site has become a huge success, with dozens of new and exciting notions being brought to our attention.

In a multi-talented, creative work environment such as ours, we know that great ideas can originate from any division, by anyone, at any time. And as company leaders, it is our privilege but also our responsibility to encourage our staff members to utilize their potential to the fullest by getting them involved and taking part in this exiting venture.

My request is that you send out a brief mailer within your division explaining the benefits of the Innovative Ideas Site, then follow up by taking a few minutes per day to further discuss and promote the site amongst members of your team. Once they know you're onboard, they'll get onboard.
